About Analogheld

The Story of Analogheld

Analogheld, meaning "Analogue Hero" in German, was founded by Adrian Dungert, who first got into analogue photography while living in China in 2017. After returning to Germany around 2020, a planned business selling film storage tins evolved into a film subscription service instead, forming the basis of Analogheld today.

Analogheld isn't a film manufacturer. It curates and resells film sourced from a mix of traditional suppliers and boutique makers, including Film Washi and other small labs, alongside expired stock sourced through a wider contact network. It also sells a small number of own-branded rolls, which are rebrands of third-party base film rather than film coated in-house.

Analogheld's Camera Film Ranges

Analogheld's core offering is a quarterly subscription box of curated 35mm and 120 film, mixing well-known brands with harder-to-find and expired stock, alongside its own film storage tins. Own-branded rolls include products such as Old Shutter Hand 200, sitting alongside third-party brands like Agfa, CineStill, Film Washi and others sold through the shop.

Choosing the Right Analogheld Film

If you enjoy discovering new and unusual film stocks without doing the hunting yourself, Analogheld's subscription box is built exactly for that. For a specific own-branded option, Old Shutter Hand 200 is worth trying. Compare Analogheld film prices on Filmproof.
