About Street Candy

The Story of Street Candy

Street Candy was founded in 2018 by Vincent Moschetti, who also runs the photography brand On Film Only, starting as a side project that grew into a full-time business. The brand built its early reputation on ATM400, a black and white film made from unused security and surveillance film originally intended for bank ATM cameras, rewound into standard 35mm cassettes once banks switched to digital surveillance.

Street Candy paused production in 2023 due to rising costs, before relaunching with support from Canadian film company Flic Film, with its current range centred on MTN100, converted from motion picture film stock. Availability of ATM400 has varied since the relaunch, so it's worth checking current stock before assuming it's available.

Street Candy's Camera Film Ranges

MTN100 is Street Candy's current flagship film, a 35mm black and white panchromatic stock converted from motion picture film, rated at ISO 100 and versatile enough to be used for reversal or slide-style processing as well as conventional negative development. ATM400, the brand's original film sourced from surplus surveillance stock, is a high-contrast, pushable black and white film rated at ISO 400, though its availability has been more limited since the brand's 2023 relaunch.

Choosing the Right Street Candy Film

MTN100 is the more consistently available choice and a great option for street and documentary photographers wanting a distinctive, motion-picture-derived look. If ATM400 is in stock, it's worth trying for its punchy, high-contrast character rooted in its unusual surveillance-film origins. Compare Street Candy film prices on Filmproof.
